Bushytails in Love

Jayne Quam carved these two bushytails who bound together with their life-long love, devotion, and commitment.  The offering bundle on top has an abalone arrowhead, clam shell, garnet, heishi, and coral.  The lighter colored bushytail is fish rock serpentine, the larger one is carved from green serpentine, and they both have inlaid turquoise eyes. Their faces are nuzzled together so sweetly!  "JQ" is carved into the bottom.  Jayne Quam is Navajo and is married to Zuni carver Lynn Quam.  They are quite the team and sometimes work together on carvings.

Foxes, wolves and coyotes all mate for life.  These life-long bushytails (coyotes, wolves, or foxes) with a card detailing the carving, materials used, and carver's name.  Zuni carvings are symbolically fed cornmeal and these will come in a gift box with a pinch of cornmeal to tide them over until they arrive.
