Zuni carver, Todd Etsate, carved this Appaloosa horse from white marble and inlaid turquoise eyes and spots.  It is a real beauty! 

While Appaloosa horses were found in many places around the world, the Nez Perce appaloosa was distinctly bred by the Nez Perce people.  We hope you enjoy this tiny version of a beautiful horse.

This Sun Blessed Horse was carved by Andres Lementino from white marble. It has inlaid turquoise eyes and a detailed face, mane, hooves, and tail. It has a Sunface on one side inlaid with turquoise, apple coral, jet, and mother of pearl. The Sunface represents the intelligent force of nature of the sun. More about horses below.
