Warm Glow Bobcat

Daphne Quam carved this warm bobcat from alabaster and inlaid turquoise eyes.  The alabaster is the color of a ripe orange.  The offering bundle has an abalone arrowhead with turquoise beads.  Sweet!

Bobcats are about twice the size from most house cats and are members of the lynx family.  They range from Mexico to Canada.  They are most active at twilight and are excellent hunters.

Traditionally, Zuni carvings are symbolically fed cornmeal.   Each Zuni fetish comes in a box with a descriptive card and a tiny bit of corn meal to tide them over until they reach you.
