This fat bushytail by Zuni carver, Delvin Leekya, was carved from travertine, also called Zuni rock. Delvin inlaid turquoise eyes and nostrils, and red coral for the mouth. Bushytails are predator creatures, and this one has a red spiny oyster shell arrowhead, with a smaller turquoise arrowhead bundled on its back. Delvin's fetish carvings always make us smile...they seem imbued with good humor.
